The Brain and The Machine/ AT DDW 17 OCT/ 25 OCT 2026
January 2026

The Brain and the Machine. Work where a busy brain is demonstrated in an interactive sculpture form. The person goes underneath and another person turns which creates “waves”. Those waves are like a seastorm surrounding you. It can be calming and be seen as a place to find peace and quiet. It can be disturbing because you can feel like someone else is in your control by them turning the handle.
Using an old coffeegrinder as a starting point, and seeking inspiration from the turning mechanism and the box.

Will be exhibited at Dutch Design Week between 17 oct - 25 oct 2026 at Sectie-C; Daalakkersweg, 5641 JA Eindhoven. (The Building to the right of the Pool).
